DR. TANDA JOY CANION

Dr. Tanda Joy Canion, is the wife of Bishop Michael Canion, Senior Pastor of the Assembly of Truth Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia where she serves along with her husband as Pastor. She is the mother of two wonderful children, India Nichole and Christian Michael Canion, grandmother of beautiful twins' Lyric Nichole and Nikai Answorth.

Dr. Canion is a former student of the following universities: Clark Atlanta University , Georgia State University, and Beulah Heights University . She was an honor student at each of these universities. She is a Life Insurance Agent, a Notary Public and a Real Estate Agent in the state of Georgia.

Dr. Canion is multi-talented. Her talents include crafts, interior design, floral design, drapery, gardening and much more. In May 1995, she received certification in Interior Designs from Clayton State University . She is the former owner of Carolyn's Fine Apparel and Accessories, where she dressed and accessorized women all over the country.

Dr. Canion's ministry had its genesis under the leadership of Pastor Joseph Denson of the I Am Tabernacle. While a member of the I Am Tabernacle, God used her in various aspects of the ministry: President of the Youth Department, Trustee Board, Praise and Worship Leader, Street Services Team, Sunday School Instructor, and Associate Minister since the age of 18 years old.

Dr. Canion is well seasoned in the word of God and brings a wealth of experience to the ministry. Her ministry branches out in the following areas:

* Guest of TBN
* Tent/Street Services
* Licensed evangelist throught the Church of God in Christ in 1986
* National President of the Affairs of Women for Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies

Dr. Canion is known as a preacher par excellent. Currently, she is an ordained Elder and Evangelist in good standing, in the Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies under the covering of Bishop Sherman S. Watkins and Bishop T. D. Jakes. She has embraced her mission to preach the gospel throughout the nation and the world and passionately promotes excellence on any level throughout the Body of Christ.
